Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes. Log into the customer portal at portal.skyfire.app and switch your billing period at any time. The unused portion of your monthly billing period is credited toward the annual price.
How does protected game compatibility work?
Velocity uses a Mach exception handler in user space to handle system calls that protected game services issue during compatibility checks. It does not modify game files or inject into the game process. Running software through a compatibility layer is permitted under the Mac Terms of Service for most titles. Game-specific ToS vary — check your game's terms before playing.
Do I need a Windows licence?
No. Velocity uses GPTK 4 (Apple's Game Porting Toolkit) and Wine to run Windows games directly on macOS. No Windows installation or licence required.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Your account reverts to Free. Your library, save backups, and settings are preserved. Pro-only features (protected game compatibility, per-game profiles, etc.) are disabled until you resubscribe.
Is there a student or education discount?
Email support@skyfireworks.io with your .edu address. We offer 50% off the annual Pro plan for verified students.
